The Brothers Publishing is a two fathers who have come together to produce books that answer the questions of their children. They have written a series of World Fact books that is like none other.The two books that I have been privileged to read this time are volumes 3 & 4 in the series. Each book is aimed at children 4-10 years of age. The younger child would enjoy the simplified pictures while the older child could read the words.
Book 3 opens with two small girls running a three-legged race. Each page is filled with a quick question or item and then a "did you know" fact about the subject on the page. All the subjects in this book have to do with the number three that is highlighted on each page.
This is a not so subtle way for children to learn about a number but also to learn about the things and places around them and in the world. Some things in book three could be a little harder to grasp for the young child like the idea of living in a three dimensional world but that does not distract from the book as a whole. In fact, I believe it helps a child to imagine and for the older child a prompt to explore more.

In Number THREE World Facts children learn things about the number three and I am happy to say that a couple of them were new to me. For young children with lots of curiosity, this book meets a need to learn more about the world around them and also stresses number awareness about the number three in meaningful ways for children to grasp. This is a wonderful addition to the number series by this author.
The author supplied me with a copy of this book with no request for a review; the opinion expressed here are my honest opinion of Number THREE World Fact.
The Brothers (a publishing company that was established by two married fathers of young children) are the authors of children’s books that are as entertaining (and of educational) for adults who read to their children as well! This is a new series by The Brothers is a learning tool as well as an entertaining well illustrated with photographs book for youngsters who are curious. It is meant to be shared, a starting point for parent/child interaction in learning and opening the field for questions. And it probably is fitting to quote their Précis; "As parents we have encountered quite a few questions and our children's thirst for knowledge and their need to receive answers to their questions - right here and right now. We have put our experience in inventing stories and storytelling to use. We pour heaps of imagination into our stories and most importantly we provide the children with the correct tools to deal with the day-to-day issues of the world. This is the reason that we write these books, we want the children, ours and yours, to explore, to be able to cope and to make use of knowledge, tools and wisdom to solve problems and cope in our world."
The concept here is to present facts to children - facts that begin with a fine color photograph or drawing beneath which is an example of (in this case) the number THREE – a fact that is obvious, and then tack on a sentence or two that uses this fact as a springboard for expanding information. Some examples beneath a drawing of two children at specific play is the following ‘A race in which two people run together with their adjacent legs tied together is called a three-legged race. Did you know that 649 pairs competed in the world’s biggest ever three-legged race in Douglas, United Kingdom, in May 2013.’ Beneath a photo our planetary system, ‘The earth is the Third planet from the sun. Did you know that Because there is no gravity in space it is impossible to cry there as the tears cannot flow.’ Beneath a photo of an octopus, ‘Octopuses have three hearts. Did you know that If an octopus loses an arm, it will eventually regrow another arm.’ Or beneath a photo of giraffes, ‘No animals have three legs. Did you know that Of all the animals the Giraffe has the longest legs.’

The Brothers are two fathers who have heard and tried to answer every question their children have asked. They want the best for their children. And, acquiring knowledge is one way to help this occur. They wrote this book in a fun manner so that parents can read, learn and explain these new facts to their children..one important fact from this book is that reading outloud to your children accelerates brain development.
This book is all about the number three. A beautifully illustrated book with vibrant, striking colors. The book is written for both parents and children to be enjoyed. It is fun and filled with facts. I learned some information I did not know. The fun facts run the gamut from Colors to animals to Mt Everest to lines.
Did you know, no animal has three legs? However, the giraffe has the longest legs.
Did you know an octopus has three hearts?
Did you know Santa's first suit was green? The colors, Red, Green and Blue combine to make all other colors.
The letters A, F,H,N,K,Y all have three lines. Yes, they do, look at them closely.
I love these books, they are lively and filled with facts, sure to pique your child's imagination. Be prepared to answer some questions, and to laugh along with your children.

I love this book so much that I read it over and over. That is why it is a five star rating.
But wait.
The kids liked it and so did I. I love that the facts are about different countries and animals. The kids learn something new with almost every fact.
