One of my girlfriends had recommended this book to me and I can honestly say it was a great read. I had recently gone through a tough breakup with my boyfriend and it's great to know I'm not the only one out there looking for love again! Looking for love again can be tough, The New Dance Card was truly relatable to my experiences with online dating!
Getting back out into the dating world after divorce can be hard... but Ann shows that it is possible! This book really showed me that I don't have to hide or be ashamed of my sexuality!
I bought this book for my aunt after she went through a similar situation. She left the book lying around and I happened to pick it up. It was actually a refreshing read. I'm much younger, but I totally relate to the guys you meet online. YEESH!
It only took a nice afternoon in a sunny spot to finish the book, but it was pretty funny in quite a few places.
If you need a gift for someone who has gone through a divorce and needs a laugh, this would be perfect.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who has been through a trying time with dating and looking for love in the modern age. Times are not what they used to be and this book offers a great glance at how to persevere in the dating world. It is also eye opening to the different personality types and dating experiences one could encounter nowadays! I love the stories and the personalization of the different dances, each dating story makes Annie more and more relatable. If Big Little Lies can make a miniseries this would be an awesome TV show or movie! Hope to see it on the big screen someday!
